my gran

A funny story from my gran's funeral - her husband was a chemist and my gran was quite anxious about a bridge competition she had coming up in the 60s. So my grandad gave her a small dose of this new medication that'd just come out. With the edge taken off her and quite fearless, she was on fire at bridge, winning nine hands in a row! #valium

She was super honest - something I found rather hard to take at times, sometimes mistaking 'honest' for 'harsh'. Her son had attended a lot of funerals with her, and after one she said, 'I don't think he was quite as good as they were saying in the eulogies.'

RIP Gran, aged 100. xo
